Ford FE remote
oil filter question....
On a typical FE Cobra we are all used to seeing the
oil filter raised from the bottom of the block and relocated to the front of the motor, high up on a bracket attached to the water pump. The incoming hose from the block runs vertically upwards to the typical
oil filter casting unit, then exits downwards through the cooler and finally back to the block.
My question is that when the motor is off, doesn't all the oil drain out of that first filter hose leaving a pipe full of air, that enters the crank bearings on start up instead of pressurised oil?
