Salvage titles are an albatross. Original race cars restored get a bye, but civilian vehicles with a salvage title get a big time ding. Doesn't matter how minor it may appear, if the insurance company writes it down to salvage, it's bad for resale. Run away. Lots of good unregistered track cars with salvage but your insurance company will probably not cover it if it has a salvage title for street use.
