Dan's comment about getting up to 14 years of service on a battery has me wondering. The Interstate battery in my ERA has 8 years on it, and I was going to change it next spring just because I thought it wouldn't last much longer. I only drive about 1200 miles per driving season and the battery doesn't get as many starts as a normal daily driver would get. The battery is also shut off all winter from November to April and always has about 12.4 volts when I check it each spring. So, can I expect more years of good performance because of fewer starts and lots of disconnected time, or does calendar time count just as much? Interested to hear what others do. Thanks
