so I finally have my KCC brought up to spec to pass the emissions here in Hong Kong. I had 4 cats added, 2 on each side integrated into the side pipes and covered by the heat shield. I got a pass on the sound compliance as it's a 20 year old car
I'm still doing the paperwork for the registration and have hit another snag. The government bureaucrats at the Traffic Department want to register the car as a real AC Cobra and tax me according to market prices for a real AC Cobra!
How can I prove to them that it's a KCC replica build?
The government workers aren't car guys, they just follow instructions out a book. Some of them look like they just got out of college.
If anyone has any documentation on KCC (eg build pics, manuals etc), or any suggestions, please let me know.
I'm trying to compile as much documentation as I can to build a case for the car.
