They are easy to overhaul and some functional repairs are easy. Many part designs didn't change except for nozzle tube length or material so I have been able repair some Cobra correct ones with parts harvested from more common models.

Paint wise, top original car restorers try to match whatever paint is left on the cylinder they have in house. Because there was variation over time painting every cylinder today exactly the same would be historically incorrect.
