My last SPF had a bumper sticker "My initials are VW / Genuine VW Service and Parts". All true. Superformance uses many (a boat load) VW parts and my initials are VW. Alas, the bumper sticker didn't set well with some of the other owners, a rather sensitive lot.

But on a more serious note Tortuga is spot on. Alternate parts are readily available but you'll have to have the original manufacture's p/n. Blas w/ wiring diagrams, Stenhouse w/ the owners manual and SCOF for tech will guide you through.
