On an FE, once you let it find its right level, it doesn't spit out all that much. But it will spit out some. Here's what I've used for many years, mostly to protect my dog, who spends a lot of time under the car with me.
It also lets me monitor just how much I do spit out and I tend to leave about a half inch worth of coolant in that glass bottle year 'round.
