I switched from a hydraulic TOB to the external slave from Forte. Classic Roadster with an FE and a Lakewood bell. We modified the fork by cutting it back on the end. Less leverage but it clears and it works well with the same foot pressure as before when I had the internal TOB. Not as clean looking as what your pictures show.
