Probably the most reassuring sentence on page 14 is
MSD magnetic pickup distributors are set at the factory and should not require adjusting. Come to think of it, I don't think I've actually seen an out-of-phase MSD magnetic pickup distributor. Read about them from time to time, but never actually seen one.
