I think the optima batteries , that are in this car, are 12V, and therefore you wire them in parallel. The original style were 6V, and you wire them in series.

A long time ago, the initial CSX4000's were sold in a kit form, and most of these cars were assembled by an authorized dealer, including instillation of the drive train.

Then, I believe Shelby began to have the cars finished as rollers from the beginning, and I think this started with CSX4750, and continuing on to CSX6000's, and then either the dealer installed the drive train, or the customer could purchase a finished roller, and do the drive train themselves.
