I'm going to correct you here, Sherwin Williams is one of the major paint manufacturers I spoke of in the earlier post...They own their plants and supply base/raw products to more than 60% of the other automotive paint manufacturers currently sold on the US/Canadian market. That and Dupont and PPG (which share base products with each other across all lines) which take up another 30% of the market in base/raw products available in same market. Branding is just a name these days boys and girls, every paint manufacturer above buys products in one way shape or form from one another. All three of them, so keep that in mind. As for product lines themselves within those brand names, there are lower level, mid level, and top level product lines for all of them. Choose your products wisely, and make certain if you cross paint lines, that the products are compatible.
Also, and more important than anything else I've written on this subject so far....Remember, these products, in liquid or gaseous form can kill you if absorbed into the skin, or inhaled into your lungs...Both by the lack of proper safety equipment........So if you expect to buy your safety equipment at Home Depo or Lowes, forget it, as none of the items they sell are rated for automotive paint products........
