Wherever you decide to mount it, consider replacing it with a Halotron unit. I carry a Halotron extinguisher, mounted on the tunnel, and I have a second, regular (messy) extinguisher in my trunk mounted to the roll bar. If the fire is in your car, I'll use the regular extinguisher on it, if the fire is in my car, then I'll use the Halotron extinguisher.
