My car has the early Jag XJ6 steering column complete with turn signal switch and collapasable mechanism. Behind the hub boss there is a large nut that when loosend off allows the steering wheel to be moved back and foward. If this large nut is completely undone the whole steering wheel and boss can be easily removed. A handy anti theft method.
