Then don't buy a Hi-Tech. They are works of art that take replica originality to the next level and therein lies their appeal and value.
If all you want is a car that looks somewhat like a Cobra but with a more modern and daily-friendly drivetrain, then there are many Superformance and other less accuracy-focused cars out there for sale that will fall well within that price range and probably be newer.
