Zderf is right---
the adapter goes on the block with the oil pressure sender fitting towards the front of the block.

The bottom hole is the output to the filter.

The top hole is the return back into the engine from the filter.

Also, I too noticed that the adapter did not match the gasket.....about 5 minutes work with a
Dremel tool took care of that. Reinstalled and started the engine and had 70 lbs of oil pressure. whoopee!
