Hello Hank as KDuBu says.... My preference was Roush 427SR crate engine .. tranny is a Tremec TKO 600 5sp and Ford 9"Rear End IDS. The small block V8 427SR is a 351W block and lighter for easier handling which I like (just my preference) .. Roush has a warranty and also does add a little more in resale value. It is Dyno'd at 514HP .. which is plenty for me as I don't track/race my Cobra. I think engine prices for this are roughly $14k-$15k depending on options/customizing as KDuBu stays....
