The summary is: homebuilt round tube chassis, C5 Corvette suspension/drivetrain, LS3 engine converted to SOHC and boosted with Magnuson supercharger, fiberglass body, aluminum doors and trunk.

As to your wheel/tire question. I built the GTO to drive and drive fast. Driving fast meant using modern performance tires that all have short sidewalls. So to get an overall tire height the same as used on original GTO, a 19" rim was needed. In addition, C5 suspension is designed for rims with a large amount of backspace, more backspace than can be accommodated with a spoke rim. So I chose a rim with a spoke like look instead of going for period correct look. A compromise to get a fantastic driving experience instead of optimizing for the "car show" experience.
