. I was told that the Camaro had a "350" and I accepted without bothering to research. It was already in the Cobra and running when I acquired it.
I had an '85 Trans Am with the 5.0 and 5 speed (after owning a couple of 455 powered '74s and a 4 speed '82). I was into Firebirds going way back to the first time I saw a picture of a red '68 400 convertible in a Reader's Digest as a kid. Never really cared for the Camaro - in the days of division specific engines at GM, I actually grew up seeing Camaros as a rival.
