The more I think about this, it looks like a scam.
Let's say the seller is not aware of the value of the car, for example in an estate sale, then I think the listing would be much simpler, like "Gramps old blue convertible, I think its worth what I am asking". But with all of the details provider in the listing, a "real" seller knows what they have and what is it worth.
I would guess the car sold at some point in the past with the detailed listing information and now some scammer has copied the old listing to fool someone into sending a deposit for a car that they don't have.
