Just a quick update ... drove the cobra down to San Marcos October 7th, ran all over the hill country for 4 days, drove back home October 11th - probably over 1,200 miles (havent added it all up yet), no problems whatsoever. The shifter was stiff a few times while stopped but not terrible. I just plunged the clutch pedal deeper.
