Yes it is a torque problem not a alignment problem I have the turnbuckle type and it flexes to much allowing to belt to become misaligned causing it to come off. I have been working with this for a while surprised I have not heard more on this topic. Only the bottom hole bolts to the head The top gets connected to the water pump bracket via the turnbuckle. Too much flex. I am only running water pump and alternator.
