Fuel cells suck, plus having to replace foam, which breaks down, and Chevy sending units. Either have a new tank fabricated (many nice ones these days out there) or install some baffles with holes in them for flow. Most company's recommend replacing the foam every 6 to 12 months. Not worth the hassle in my book. Also less than a quarter tank trashes fuel injection pumps. They need the fuel to cool, let alone the flow rate. That is why I'd say most company's have safety shutoffs at 1/8 tank (he little red line) At least Ford does.
