I think you have to first decide what type of mounting you want. If you have a remote
oil filter, the sandwich type would be the easiest. Otherwise, it will be a standalone unit mounted in the engine compartment. Either way, you will have to make a few new
oil lines. Next will be the temperature you want it to open at. I suggest you do a little research on
oil operating temperatures. Earls make good ones. Better ones are made by Improved Racing. I installed the Improved Racing sandwich and was very happy with the quality and function of it. Here it is.
