I don't own a blacked out BDR - mine is the standard blue with white stripes. I love that look because it is closer to the classic look of a Cobra (same reason why I have a carbureted SBF instead of a Coyote motor). Keeps it more 'period' correct. But that's just me.
But if you want my $0.02 on the black, I would think that a satin finish on the powdercoated parts would pair up better with the the glossy black paint of the body. It would provide more of a contrast and allow the powdercoated parts to stand out more from the body. If everything is gloss, then it all 'melds' together.
But in the end, it will look bad ass either way.
