Interesting, so what is on the front side of the note?
From the back side of the note, it looks like Al Abidin wanted his car repaired. Is it possible that the Abidin family got sticker shock at the estimated repair cost and Hasselrig just offerred to buy the car from them to part out? In which case Hasselrig could have gotten the title legally?
Perhaps Al had put away some money over the 3 years to repair his Cobra, but then upon seeing the what the real repair cost would be, decided it would be far cheaper to buy another used Cobra or some other car.
