What nobody has mentioned here, is the factor of tire size/width. If one is running a skinny tire, they will have quite a few more inches in suspension travel. My car with a 295 rear which measures to a 305mm leaves me a paltry 2 1/2" of rear suspension travel before wrecking my fiberglass. Hence, those inches don't afford me a soft cushy ride, as most of us are looking to plant as much rubber possible to the ground.
