I may add that there are few things that cannot be purchased from many resources. HiTech was a great car and parts not hard except the critical stuff which can still be purchased. Ultimately you will be fine, just don't overpay as its always costly when building a car and they are always missing something.
Critical Parts, I would ask Craig, I would guess suspension related and maybe rear end, most everything can be swapped with 4000/6000 series and there will be plenty of help here on this forum if you start your own thread.
I would rather build a HiTech and have to look for stuff than build say "XXX" and have everything available mostly from China sources.
Yes "XXX" can be an assortment of companies however did want to spark another thread about quality cars etc....
