Alain,

While you are under the car working on the Jag IRS you might want to spend a little time and effort repairing the crossmember. In the picture below I have highlighted the areas that are beat up and represent potential future problems.

The through bolt holes should have reinforcing tubes in the crossmember to prevent distortion when the bolts are tightened and the cutout has also seen some abuse. It should be repaired / replaced for visual appearances if not for safety.
