It's a sad story really, so many of these cars left unfinished, missing parts, and being turned in to a money pit for the next 1-20 owners who purchase a car thinking they can finish it with very little money invested.

As far as history: SMC data is as follows:

Last car delivered in December 1995, although several people have claimed that they have SMC cars produced as late as 1997, but have never been able to provide supporting documentation.

Rumor has it that B&B bought out the molds and jigs, but most likely did not get any factory records with the purchase of them.
