I spent 20 minutes talking to Carbs Unlimited’s Weber tech about my running rich issue. After explaing what I’ve done and haven’t done, he just laughed and said that’s just how the carbs are shipped as a baseline. I have to switch out the main jets, idle jets and air correctors using (2) 737-248 Jet Packs ($100 each). Each jet pack services two carbs, hence, the need for two kits. Sigh

He said to start with replacing the air correctors from #120 that’s in there now with #190-200. Replace the main jet in the emulsion tubes (?) with a #145. Start the car allowing it to warm up. Then adjust the idle mix screws. Base line is 1-1/2 turns out. Ok I can do that.

Adjust the idle speed screws 1/2 turn in from touching the the linkage. Ok, I can do that too.

He‘s located in Arizona. I wish I had my trailer. I would just take it to him to do.

I‘m sure I’ll screw it all up, get frustrated and just cover it up.
