I know these Coyote's have more oil flowing through them than the average old school small block but can it be that much? I want to get as much of the previous posts calculations right so I can mark my stick if even necessary.

Don't forget about a quart to wet the insode of the engine and a half quart or so for the oil caught in the fog surrounding the rotating assembly. Put one more in for your filter. 2.5 + 5.25 will bring you to 7.75 qts — call it 8 qts. Lay your windage tray in the pan and fill to about a inch blow the tray maybe a quart— probably pretty close to where you are now. Add a half a quart to a quart for oil in the return cycle to the oil pan and you should be right at or near 9 to 9.5 qts. Mark the level on your dipstick as your fill to level. Viola! You're done.
