I pulled a toploader and installed a TKO in an ERA some years back.

I used the long (OE supplied input shaft). The shifter hole needed moved back and the transmission mount location needed moved back. However, the shifter location was only moved back about 1/2".

ERA recommends the long input shaft for new builds.

In my current ERA build I am using a TKX with the long input and then welded an offset onto the shifter to put it in the OEM Cobra location.
