Funny, my first memories of music were my Moms Big Band Swing albums. She was born in 27 and my dad was born in 23, (yes, a 100 years ago,) he was a WWII veteran. She played them on a big Magnavox console, pore record player saw everything from Elvis, The Beatles, through Janus Joplin and even Jimi Hendrix! I was reintroduced to Swing during the late 70s through late 90s, when I was working on and flying WWII planes, and did a lot of air shows. During the shows, it would be on the PA and at night there would sometimes be live bands, some new, some reconstituted, like Glen Miller and Less Brown And His Band Of Renown! Now, I sometimes listen to the 40s channel on satellite radio. Brings back some great memories! The video below is a little grannie, but what a great song and great planes! Cheers, Dennis
