It's a 2005 Boxster S, 6 speed manual trans. Best bargain I ever got on a car. It's a very long story but the short version is the previous owner left it outside with the top down in the rain. It got just enough rain water in it to wet the rear body control module under the drivers seat. For reasons I'll never understand it was written off by his insurance company (probably by demand of the owner?) and put up for auction on Copart. Only two other out of town bidders were on the car, and thinking the car was "flooded" they dropped out early. I got the car for less than $5K all in. It's flawless. There's not a scratch on it, I bought it with I believe 62K miles on it. I replaced the module with a new one for $300 and cleaned up the connectors on it and it's been perfect ever since. It's on a salvage title, but I don't really care. I have no intention of selling it. I bought it in 2019 and I have had zero issues with it. Paint and interior, and mechanically are all perfect. We love the darned thing.
