As forum members, we should not be paying for the site.
We are the product that is being sold to advertisers for money. The money the advertisers provide should be used to maintain the site.
If the advertising revenue is inadequate to support the site, then someone associated with the site needs to put their selling shoes on and start selling. This increasingly feels like the site is suffering from the same malaise and lack of attention that has so besmirched the Finishline site and name. The same thing can happen here if the site webmasters continue to expand their indifference to the site and users.
When users begin to go away, so to does whatever advertising revenue the site is capable of generating. This can quickly become a runaway sort of phenomena. Think about it. It is real, and it can happen.
