Just come home from the workshop.
Engine is in, with both front/side mounts now secured. The bottom of the
oil pan sits just above the level of the bottom of the 'chassis'
Will need a remote
oil filter because of clearance issue with LH exhaust primaries. That's OK.
TKX is positioned, and ready to slide in.
I have made up an adaptor to fit my very nice (and very original looking) shift lever and knob to the TKX - I'm leaving the knob with its 4 speed pattern as per the original 289 cars.
