I have not purchased the welding blankets yet, I'm planning it to death first. I know it has to be convenient or I'll just not use it and that is when it happens. Planning on storing loosely folded , like an accordion, between the seat and door. I'm much slower now than I used to be, and pipes are usually cooled slightly by the time I'm getting close to getting my leg next to the side pipes. I remember when I got burned and all it took is a moment of forgetfulness, and then it happens. Ato the car is Attaching it to the car is a big deal as I'd forget and end leaving the blanket in some parking lot. I should have done this years ago. I mentioned to my wife and was told to leave it for a Christmas gift idea. Not having the blanket material in hand what about slits where the door way curves from horizontal to perpendicular. I anticipate a slot at the rear of the material so the blanket will lay out flat on the side pipe. Will I need to reinforce the material to keep the material from just tearing from that notch.?
