I have always mounted my regulators just before the carb, AT THE CARBURETOR.
There's no reason to have 3 flexing rubber fuel lines, 1 to the pump inlet, then pump outlet to a solid mounted regulator, then flex line back to the carb.
Of course we need to know what carbs you have, what regulator, what engine, and what fuel pump please.
