I thought that I had the Memo number and I finally found it. The DMvs may have thrown it away by now but the number is vr-2002-25.

Here is the wording of the paper that some of the people got here when there was such a fight to get one of the 500 numbers but most DMVs have probably thrown the memo away now to kiss up to Newsom.

The clerk MUST read this, and understand it. If they are unwilling to get the book, ask to see the supervisor. This MEMO tells the clerk EXACTLY how to input the information into the computer.

Make sure that the clerk enters the information correctly, and that the vehicle is set up as a current model year SPCN It is also very important that they also assign you a SB-100 number- the only way they can get the SB-100 number is to call Sacramento. DO NOT LEAVE THE DMV WITHOUT YOUR SB-100 NUMBER!!!
