I suspect the continuing poor website login and posting performance has discouraged many from participating, Blas.

It took five minutes for me to login and get to this posting. Most guys don't have the time to waste, especially when the website forum can take an indeterminate length of time, usually longer than five minutes. Last evening I quit waiting and went out with the wife. Three hours later, when I returned, my screen said the server had timed out ?!?!.

After a while, this kind of performance can discourage just about anyone.

More fuel to the fire:

This post went into never, never land when I clicked Submit. These days, I build the post in Word and paste it into a Message Window on the site so when it crashes, I can start over without losing the post and paste it from my Word doc into the website's Message window to try again.

Rather than a successful posting, you will receive a message stating,

"... can't open the page "www.clubcobra.com/forums/newreply.php?
do=postreply&t=147538" because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again. "

The server is not busy! The site software is out of date and damaged/broken yet again!

When the post finally was accepted by the CC site software nearly 90 minutes had passed!!
