Any stroked and bored FE will put down 500 horsepower on the dyno -- that's a piece of cake for any decent engine builder. And you can't use it on the street. Every time you punch the throttle your tires break loose. You can't hold WOT for more than a blink or two without risking your life. And under hood temperatures are directly related to your horsepower. Remember, the farther north you go past 500 the more finicky your car will get and the shorter the lifespan. The sweet spot for a street 427 car is down in the 400's.
