Agreed. From my research there are more aftermarket shifter assemblies for the T5 and TKO's where the "mechanism" is small and/or low enough to fit beneath the transmission tunnel. However, with this TKX I was not able to find such an option and anything designed for the T5/TKO will not fit the TKX. So I opted for the White Lighting 1" offset shifter. The main "mechanism" for this unit fits about flush with the tunnel. Only adding to the overall height of the shifter. I am already talking with a fabricator about options that should be fairly trick. Once it is completed I will post a photo of exactly what we did and the final presentation.
