Dang, even with the extreme offset screwdrivers I bought I can’t get a good enough bite on those screws without risking a slip and scratch getting them out. I measured my windshield angle and it’s 42 deg off horizontal which is the lower end of what is usually seems to be used (42-45 deg). I may try making a bracket that secures to the center bracket screws that go into the cowl instead. It may be a little clunkier but at least I wouldn’t have to disturb the screws into the windshield frame.
