It depends on your “originality genes.” If there are a lot of them and you have money to burn, go for it.

Remember, no matter what you do, these cars are still replicas, not the original article. In the FWIW bucket, many of the modifications made to the basic car over the years by replica manufacturers and owners improve driveability, performance, and reliability. This begs the question: Why go backward—especially at a sometimes (frequently) elevated price tag?
