I run 48 IDAs on a 289 .030 0ver at 10:1 compression. My heads have been extensively ported. I have a solid cam with 236 degrees actual duration at .528 lift (comp cams). I am very pleased with the result- TRW 10:1 pistons had to be flycut, but I recently outran the winner of the boss shootout at Tulsa, no problem. The independent runner intake will let you run up to 240 degrees actual duration and idle at least as smooth as a stock 289 hipo.
