The split loom is probably the best thing to come along in a long time when it comes to wiring.
I usually use a small plastic tie wrap to hold things togehter at a point where a wire has to leave the loom. That way the loom does not split open and let other wires fall out.
Get various sizes of loom so your not tring to stuff too many wires into an undersized loom.
These looms make for a very neat and attractive installation.
About the only down side to looms is that they will melt and turn ugly if run too close to headers/exhaust pipes.
