That aluminum block is a big chunk of the budget when you only have $10 grand to play with. The forged aftermarket crankshaft, and con rods, and block machining will cost you. The roller cam, lifters, roller rockers, stud girdles, main and head studs, windage tray, head work, all add up. Don't forget the cost of the aluminum flywheel, pressure plate, disk, and scattershield. The big items are costly, but the little pieces add up quickly too.
