Hi Gary. Do your self a big favor if you can have you oil pan off the motor and bolt 1 gasket and the tray to the bottom of the motor and check for clearance. I have a 427 block and a 428 crank, My rod bolts hit the factory windage tray, so I went to Canton and brought their NEW super tray and the same thing happened. Called Canton tech and they said it might hit. IT SURE DID. I pulled the oil pan off,put a gasket and the tray back up and started to mark where the rods hit. I ended up cutting the open side apart and rewelding it to clear the rods. 2 other people had the same problem. You want to give 1/8 inch to clearance.
