Default Gas pedal ???'s

I have tried a Mustang II pedal and a 1970 Mustang Pedal in my EM.
Neither seem to fit quite right. Seems like the angle of the linkage goes too far toward the outside of the car with both pedals.
I am afraid this will interfer with my brake pedal assembly when I go to put it in. I guess I might bend the 1970 linkage back toward the steering column some ??? ... but this still throws the pedal into a slight lateral movement when pushed down.

I bought a Lokar 36"HT cable to install, but I think I need to find something better as far as the pedal goes... any suggestions?
Thanks.
