That is consistent with my research on the subject to date. It does require the fine spline for interchangeability. I believed it was a Salisbury unit (English) however with GM center internals and a 5 lug 4.75" hub I now think otherwise. I'll be interested to know what you come up with as I'm looking to put a Dana 44 limited slip assembly in one of my Jag rears.
